Variant on tune wheel DKE38????

It is known that on the DKE38 the wheel to tune it medium and large wave has no end, it menas that it does not stop, it can be turn 360 degrees with no stops.

I have a Braun dke38 that is different, it is competely original and the wheel stop on zero at each side. It is the first time i can see this variant

Is it known? or it is something special?
